Monk is a brand-new home décor store in Chania, Crete with unique furniture, houseware and gift items keeping up with the latest trends in home design. It is an interior concept store inspired by the Scandinavian minimalism and functionalism that embraces creation, aesthetics and inspiration with products that give a special finesse to each space.
Mozaik undertook the challenging task of creating the store’s overall branding by developing a name and logo for the brand, a corporate id, branding tools to be used in the store, a signage design concept and interior graphics.
Reflecting one’s inner desire for taste and relaxation, a home can be considered a Design Sanctuary where one can find peace with himself. Just like a Monk seeking for spirituality. The name was accompanied with the tagline “Soul Living” to further highlight the spiritual uplifting.
Following the same concept, the logo was designed based on monastic fonts but with a fresh and modern appeal, emphasizing on the traditional aspect of a home, as a private, safe place to return to as well as the contemporary comforts and conveniences that every home needs today to be considered a sanctuary. The all-white logo on the black background reflects the harmony of simplicity with the timeless sense of luxury and the creative interplay between absolute usability and high aesthetics. The logo inspired a clean and modern corporate id with the use of the triangle as a symbol of perfectness, unity, harmony, spirituality and a higher state of being.
To maintain a branding consistency and coherence, Mozaik also designed the company’s branding tools such as bags, stickers, wrapping papers as well as the brand’s signage and store’s interior graphics.
The Monk store is ready to welcome you in its new 450 m2 premises in Chania, Crete and soon to its new website.
